If you grew up watching the Jetsons, you may remember the robot house cleaner named Rosie. “Rosie” is also the name of Columbia’s very own robot street sweeper!
About three years ago, we partnered with the City of Columbia to get an electric, autonomous street sweeper on Main Street. Since then, Rosie has kept Main Street sidewalks clean of trash and litter.
She also has a small digital screen used for advertising. Advertisers want to be in high trafficked areas and Columbia’s Main Street fits the bill! Charming, urban and walkable, Main Street is packed with delicious restaurants, fascinating shops and varied attractions like a bowling alley, movie theater and art museum.
