A frequent question we get from clients is “How long should I advertise on a billboard?” Of course we want to be long-term partners with each of our clients, but both long and short term campaigns have their place. So, how long should YOUR campaign last?
The first thing to think about is the goal of your campaign.
Are you seeking to promote a one-time event or are you seeking to make your brand’s presence known in the community? Are you celebrating a company anniversary or adding a new product to your offerings?
Short-term campaigns are fantastic for promoting an event or a new offering.
For example, if you’re advertising a large sale or holiday event, then buying a few weeks on a digital board to get the word out would be a great idea. Another great use for a short-term campaign would be a company anniversary. We love to celebrate these milestones with companies when they reach 10, 20 or more years in business. This is a great way to let your clients know you have been around and must be doing something right!
If you are looking to establish yourself in a market or remind your existing clients you are there for them, then a long term branding campaign would be a good fit.
