300k–500k out-of-town visitors. That’s the estimated influx of unique visitors coming into Atlanta for the FIFA World Cup this summer. Ticket sales have already broken records for past sporting events, and according to CBS, this will be the largest event in Atlanta since the 1996 Olympics with a major economic impact on the city.

Grace Outdoor’s iconic billboard will be center stage, sitting on the Downtown Connector and acting as a gateway into Downtown Atlanta. We’re excited to see top brands utilize this sign as a key placement during the busy stretch of FIFA events.

This sign has a long history of being a focal point. For locals, the 35-foot-tall, 100-foot-wide board is still known as the “old Delta sign.” Before becoming a high-resolution digital display, it featured the iconic “Delta Jets Creative,” a sister to the “Fly Delta Jets” sign at the Atlanta airport. This billboard isn’t new. It’s been part of the city’s landscape for decades; it was there for the 1996 Olympics and now for FIFA.

One of the many things Atlanta is known for is traffic. That’s not usually a good thing, but in our world, we don’t mind it; we actually celebrate it. Traffic will be slow, but this board will be right there, front and center, shining bright and in front of millions each week.

If Atlanta is on your radar this summer, this is one of those moments that doesn’t come around often. Give us a call!
